Thank you to all our lovely customers who have continued to support us with web orders throughout this difficult period, we are delighted to be welcoming you back trough our doors.
Over the past few weeks we have implemented a number of health and safety measures to ensure that we can serve our customers whilst maintaining the wellbeing of our staff. The safety of our employees and customers remains our top priority and we are ensuring that all precautions and social distancing measures are in place.
Our staff are being divided into two bubbles at each location to ensure the business can carry on should a bubble need to self-isolate. We are a small team, some of which have dependants and no childcare and others who are still shielding, therefore we cannot logistically open our normal fulltime hours at present.
Customer Service & Sales
From July our opening hours will be
Belfast – Bedford Street store
4 days: Wednesday – Saturday: 10am-5.30pm
Glenarm – Seaview Hall, New Road
3 days: Thurs – Saturday 10am – 5pm
We hope that we can step up to full hours within a few weeks of reopening and will be monitoring the situation and guidelines closely.
All design, remodelling, wedding ring and engagement ring consultations should be booked in advance through our automated booking system BOOK HERE or by telephoning your preferred store.
Both stores will have restricted access in place to ensure social distancing can be maintained. We are not a high footfall business, so this should not significantly impact on our customers shopping experience, but please be aware that;
No more than three individual customers or two couples/groups of two will be allowed on the showroom floor at any one time. We ask that customers do not come in groups larger than two.
If we already have customers within the store, you may be asked to wait outside.
Sanitation and your safety
There will be sanitation stations at the entrances of both stores for our customers to sanitise their hands on entry.
Masks will be available for any customer who wishes to wear one, this is at their own discretion.
All our staff will be wearing face shields or masks. It is essential for us to be able to provide good customer service, to be able to communicate clearly and discuss your shopping requirements. It is our opinion that the face shield is the most conducive to a flow of conversation whilst maintaining the safety of staff and customers. Our staff will be wearing gloves to handle the jewellery you wish to try on.
We ask staff and customers to maintain a two meter social distance wherever possible.
Unfortunately, we have had to temporarily stop our ‘hands on’ help when serving customers. We would normally assist customers to try on jewellery, helping them with catches etc. Until the guidelines change, we will not be able to offer assistance in this nature.
All jewellery that has been tried on will be treated in a UVC sanitising light box and then additionally cleaned with Jewellery cleaners before it is returned to the cabinets.
Toilets are for staff only, please do not ask to use our staff facilities whilst on our premises, as a refusal may offend.
Manufacturing & Services
From 1st July our manufacturing team will be resuming operations. Our six goldsmiths will be working part-time catching up with all the orders and bespoke commissions that have been on hold since 23rd March. We are aware many of these commissions have wedding, anniversary, and birthday dates to work to or that have passed during lockdown and that customers are extremely keen to get these items as soon as possible. We are receiving a high volume of enquiries requesting updates on progress, please bear with us as we try to respond to these enquiries and fulfil their correlating orders.
We will regularly review and amend our COVID-19 policy, relaxing or strengthening the guidelines where we see fit and in line with government guidelines.
